Why can't I ever find what I'm looking for?

Is it just me? I think to myself, my baby needs some mittens, I look round the shops, either too expensive ( I wouldn't pay that for my own gloves! ) or so badly made that I could do a better job if I got my sewing machine out and did them myself! I am no machinist. I am however a crochet maniac! I then come home, I have two kids so I somehow find time to get on the internet, normally cooking tea with the computer on the worktop, I spend hours searching for just the right pattern and design, then it's $5 at etsy. REALLY? My aim with this blog is to design practical crochet items with no fee attached. If you have any suggestions, let me know, I will post them as I finish them, please enjoy and keep in touch.
